With the high-speed Eurostar and ICE trains, getting from Brussels to Cologne by train is very easy. The journey to Germany’s “fun loving capital” takes less than 2 hours.
After a stop in Liège and in Aachen, you’ll arrive at Köln Hbf, Cologne’s main train station. Set right next to the celebrated cathedral on the left bank of the Rhine, the station is located within a few minutes walk from the shopping district, the main museums and many more attractions. The station’s also a major rail hub for journeys to other destinations in Germany, but also to Switzerland, Austria, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe.
Due to planned engineering works on the German rail network, ICE trains that connect Brussels, Cologne and Frankfurt will only operate between Brussels and Cologne (Köln Hbf) from Wednesday 29 May to Sunday 2 June 2024 inclusive.
Passengers to/from Frankfurt can change trains in Cologne.
